Tour of the Universe

Wow, a lot has happened since my last blog!

Right now, we're working toward the release of an exciting project called Tour of the Universe by Children of the World. It's a multimedia celebration of astronomy, and we're accepting submissions of astrophotography, cosmic art, photos of children, and audio clips--from all over the world. I've been reworking the website to make it possible to collect all the materials. We've been very busy!

But as I write this I'm on a beach in Thailand, where I've been living for the last year (in my superhero secret identity, I was teaching English to Kindergarten kids). But currently, I'm taking a break and bicycling across southern Thailand. I've been traveling for the last five weeks, covering a distance of more than 1,400 km (840 miles), with two-thirds of that on the cycle and the rest on trains, boats, and buses--even a pickup truck when my friend's bike broke down. Along the way I've been working from Internet cafes in different cities. It's certainly been an adventure!

But I'm very excited to bring you this project--and once I've finished my contribution (the website) I hope to see and hear all of YOURS!
