On Friday, October 10, Audrey and Jessi headed to the NASA Future Forum, held at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, for a day of discussion in honor of NASA's 50th anniversary.

Since 1958, NASA has been inspiring people, young and old, in this country and the world.  From the first lunar landing in 1969 to the spectacular footage being captured by the Phoenix Mars Lander at this very moment, NASA's pioneering efforts have ignited the imagination of adults and children alike.

Today, NASA is a driving force behind innovation in the technology market.  Sattelites are used for many things, from weather and climate monitoring to Global Positioning Systems that help peole navigate our planet to sattelite radio.  By rising to meet challenges that don't even exist yet, NASA scientists are pushing the limits of what we know about our world, as well as the Universe beyond.

The panel discussions at the heart of the day's event, the last of seven Future Forums held at various locations around the US, centered on three topics: Innovation, Inspiration, and Discovery.
